Have you ever had one foot on the accelerator and one on the brake?

Hello!

A couple of years ago, I had an ONGOING issue with my car, and my car is one of the main ways that Life speaks to me!

It was all about power – it would often lose power, and as I was driving it, the sensation was as if I had one foot on the brake and one foot on the accelerator.

And it became clear that that was what I was doing in other areas of my life.

I was wanting to move forward, but a part of me was also protecting myself.

And Life, in the shape of my car, was also literally protecting me from moving forwards.

Nowadays, I don’t use the words ‘block’ or ‘resistance’ – I call them protection.

We try to protect ourselves from having painful things that happened to us in the past, happen again.

Those protections can come from within – like we get sick when we’re about to do something that we love, or we give up a dance class that we’ve been longing to do.

And those protections can also come from ‘outside’ – like our internet not working, our computer breaking, our car not working, when we need our internet, computer or car to take our next steps.

What we are really doing is protecting ourselves from what happened in the the past happening again.

That’s why doing inner work is so important when we have the foot on the brake.

I’m recreating my Inner Loving Presence Process for Entrepreneurs course, and I had an ‘aha’ moment today. Here it is:

1. Life speaks to us through creative downloads, messages, and symptoms.

2. We can respond to that by doing the inner work – healing old hurts, changing our inner dialogue, hearing ourselves the way we want to be heard.

3. And then the way that we speak back to Life is through our willingness. When we are truly willing to have, do or be something, then Life is free to give it to us. Life no longer needs to protect us from what we were afraid of happening.

And that is why I LOVE the Inner Loving Presence Process for Entrepreneurs.

It provides this really clear structure of the processes of this work:

1. Receiving and listening to the messages from Life. (outside to inside)

2. Doing our inner work with our Inner Loving Crew and the Inner Loving Presence Process. (inside)

3. Speaking to Life with our willingness using The Willingness Practice. (inside to outside)

I really love how they all fit together, and I really love working with them, even as I recreate the ILPPE course.

For example, today I started getting a sore throat as I was recording the videos and audios. So I did some inner work and the sore throat went away.

As I was recording the videos, a chainsaw and lawnmower started up at a neighbour’s. So I did some inner work. They went away.

Living like this is such a joy. Meaningful interconnection, synchronicities, and a feeling of deeply belonging here all go with this work.

I’ll be opening the doors for the course very soon!

Love,

Marion
